Class of 2006

Coinstash are proud to be Gold Sponsor of the 2025 Churchie OBA Long Lunch, being held on Friday 23 May at the Queensland Cricketers’ Club.

In 2017, Churchie Old Boys Mena Theodorou (2006) and Ting Wang (2006), pictured above, identified a major opportunity in the emerging world of digital assets. As early crypto believers, they saw how difficult it was for everyday Australians to access the space safely and easily and set out to change that. With a shared passion for technology, finance and innovation, they began building a local crypto exchange that Australians could trust. That idea became Coinstash.

What began as a bold vision between two mates has grown into one of Australia’s leading crypto investment platforms. Today, Coinstash enables thousands of Australians to buy, sell and manage their crypto portfolios with confidence, offering features like DeFi trading, OTC services and SMSF support. Nearly eight years later, Ting and Mena continue to lead the company, navigating a fast-moving industry while staying focused on their mission to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the world of crypto. Their journey from high school classmates to fintech founders is a testament to what’s possible with curiosity, determination and a touch of Churchie spirit.
